Everyone runs into themselves sometimes, and sometimes certain patterns or problems seem to keep coming back the same way. Perhaps you notice this in your work, in relationships, or just in everyday life. Psychotherapy can help you discover where these patterns come from. Together, we then look for ways to deal with this differently, in a way that suits you better.
Common topics I can assist with are:
Through conversation, we explore together the problems and complaints you are currently experiencing. The focus is on becoming aware of your own thoughts and feelings, as well as understanding the feelings and thoughts of others around you. We explore how aspects of your past can affect how you feel and react today. This will give you a better understanding yourself of where changes can be made.
By understanding yourself and others better, you can ultimately live a fuller life, enjoying work, leisure and relationships more.
Course of therapy
During the intake phase, we take time together to go over your life story and request for help. In the first three exploratory sessions, we then determine together the frequency and themes of our conversations, tailored to your needs and abilities. Usually we meet weekly or biweekly, but this can be adjusted according to the progress of therapy. The duration of the process depends on your question: it can be short-term or it can include a longer period of time.
Are you unsure if your request for help is appropriate for this therapy? Want more information or to schedule an introductory meeting? Feel free to contact me – I am ready to help.
