Method

• Treatment is possible starting from the age of 18 years old and above. Consultations can be individual, in couple or in family.  In the treatment I aim to integrate biological, psychological, family and socio-cultural factors that may contribute to the current complaints. I attach great importance to an empathic, human and authentic encounters.​
• Patients are usually seen at a frequency of once a month. This can be more in case of crisis, initiation of treatment or EMDR. Once the patient is stabilized, the frequency can decrease to once every 2 – 3 months, in combination with a follow-up with the GP and/or psychotherapist.
• Consultations generally last between 30 and 45 minutes. This includes administration time, managing your medical file, correspondance or contact with other involved caregivers including your GP.

Curriculum Vitae

I obtained my Masters in Medicine with Magna Cum Laude at KU Leuven in 2015, then I followed the specialisation in Adult Psychiatry between 2015 and 2020, also within KU Leuven.

I have had the opportunity to gain a broad experience in internships between Leuven, Brussels, Amsterdam to Aruba. Thus I have gained experience in the following specialist centres:

Between 2017 and 2019 I followed the Postgraduate in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at KU Leuven and obtained the Master in Sexology at KU Leuven in2021. I completed the EMDR training in Amsterdam in 2021, a treatment that I regularly integrate into my practice given its significant and rapid effict.

Psychiatric Consultation (RIZIV code 109631).

We apply the “tiers payant” system, which means you only pay your own input at the end of the consultation. Your health insurance reimburses us the other part of the consultation fee afterwards. You hereby no longer need any certificate to return to your health insurance after the consultation. ​

• Own input per consultation with regular insurance: 74,23 EUR
• Own input per consultation for students, retired, unemployed: 63,63 EUR
• Own input per consultation (increased reimbursement, OMNIO): 42,42 EUR
• Own input per phone consultation (10 min, RIZIV code 101732): 23,44 EUR
• Own input per video consultation (15 min, RIZIV code 101695): 27,48 EUR
• EMDR session: 7.50 EUR supplement
• Prescriptions and certificates (outside of consultation times): a fee of 20.00 EUR might be asked. This fee might not be reimbursed by your insurance.
• Private insurances: 148,47 EUR per consultation, with own input depending on your insurance. In this instance, you will recieve a certificate to get a partial reimbursement by your health insurance after the consultation.

We understand that these rates may make access to care difficult for some. However, we believe that, unfortunately, most health insurances currently don’t provide equitable reimbursements allowing a good quality of care and propper training.

If this compromises access to care for you, it is best to bring this up during your consultation, to figure out whether more affordable resources (self-help, first line psychologist, CGG, group therapy, establishing a treatment plan with your GP,…) may also be of benefit.

Cancellation policy

Changes to appointments must be made at least 48 hours (2 full working days) in advance via the secretary. If this deadline is not respected, we are unfortunatily obliged to charge a fee of EUR 60.00 for a late cancellation or missed consultation.

The average cost for us for such a missed consultation is +/- EUR 130, as we usually cannot see anyone else at that time. By billing 60.00 EUR for the missed appointment, we charge you less than half of the fee, thereby taking the other part of the fee on our charge.
