Consultations can be individual, couples or families. I strive to identify biological, psychological, family, work and sociocultural factors that may be contributing to the current problem. Consultations generally last between 30 and 45 minutes. This includes administration time, managing your medical records, correspondence or contact with other involved health care providers, including your primary care physician.
I obtained my Masters in Medicine from Ghent University in 1998 and specialized in General and Forensic Psychiatry and Psychology at Ghent University and Leuven, as well as King’s College London. I won several academic awards during and after my training. After qualifying in 2003, I moved to London, where I worked as an Academic Psychiatrist at the prestigious Institute of Psychiatry (IoPPN) and at Maudsley and Broadmoor Hospitals. The IoPPN ranks 2nd in the world for psychiatry and psychology, preceded only by Harvard University. It is also one of the world’s largest centers for neuroscience research, and located in the same location as the Maudsley Hospital, home to top psychiatrists in the United Kingdom. In my doctoral dissertation, “Genetic Variation and Attentional and Memory Biases for Emotional Information,” I combined genetics and neuropsychopharmacology to investigate the effects of genetics on emotional processing. My other academic research at the IoPPN focused on the neurobiological correlates of psychopathy and of violence in schizophrenia patients. I carried out my clinical work in general and forensic psychiatric services at the Maudsley and Broadmoor Hospitals in and around London. I also worked part-time as medical director of a private psychiatric hospital in Central London. I believe that during my career I have become a respected academic leader, administrator and clinician, with deep expertise in a range of areas from forensic and general psychiatry to neuroscience, psychopharmacology, brain imaging, genetics and statistics. I also gained in-depth expertise in teaching, lecturing and education, as well as hospital management and health care. I was also inducted into the Marquis Who’s Who for contributions within my field to medicine and to the betterment of contemporary society.

This can only be done through the registration form, in order to allow proper organization despite too important a demand. I recommend that you keep an eye on the application form for new availabilities, as it is always up-to-date. Before the first appointment, it is warmly recommended that you complete the medical intake form.
If you have questions for Dr. Naudts about ongoing treatment (and only in that case!) you can reach him at dr.naudts@mentalhealth.brussels. Emails to this address with questions about new applications will not be able to be answered.
For this, you can use the appointment confirmation you received via email.
We all experience moments in our lives of feeling stuck, but sometimes it becomes too overwhelming to handle on our own.
In those moments, reaching out for help can make all the difference.
