Individual Psychotherapy
Most insurances or “mutuelles” reimburse a part of the cost for a limited number of sessions. Please contact your healthcare insurance about this prior to the consultation. Rates according to a sliding scale are possible if this threatens the continuity of care.
Our practice has a limited number of hours within the primary care psychological convention, in which increased reimbursement is possible for difficulties of “mild-moderate severity” and for financial vulnerability
The intake processing fee includes the keeping of an electronic health record and establishing electronic correspondance with your primary care provider, if requested.

We apply a tiers-payant (co-pay) system for medical consultations. This means you do not need to submit a certificate to your “mutuelle.” At the end of each consultation, you simply pay the co-payment amount.
If you have a complementary insurance, it is recommended to request an “attestation de soins” after your consultation. You can use this document to submit a claim for reimbursement to your insurance provider after the appointment.
Cancellation policy
If the appointment is cancelled less than 48 hours or 2 full business days in advance, a flat fee will be charged. This term allows us to use the vacated spot for other patients who may or may not require urgent care.

Accessibility of care
We understand that these fees may make access to care difficult for some, and the fees can be somewhat surprising. However, we believe that currently insufficiently equitable reimbursement rates are provided in Belgium to enable qualitative psychotherapeutic and psychiatric care, in a restful setting in accessible locations. The rates also include significant administrative time.
If the fees compromise the accessibility of care for you, it is best to bring this up during the consultation to see if more affordable resources (self-help, first line psychologist, CGG/SSM, group therapy or establishing a treatment plan in collaboration your primary care provider, etc.) may also be qualitative alternatives.
