psychiatrist office in Brussels

Brussels Mental Health Center is a multilingual outpatient practice located in Schaerbeek (Plasky and Schuman) and Ixelles (Flagey), close to the European Quarter. Recognised clinical psychologists, psychotherapists and psychiatrists provide care to expats, staff of the European institutions, NATO staff and other international professionals.

Patients with private health insurance are also welcome. You will receive a dated invoice or certificate of care stating your healthcare provider’s name, professional title and RIZIV/INAMI or visa number. You must then submit this document directly to your insurer.

Trusted, specialised mental healthcare close to you.

Psychotherapy Prescription

Some insurers and health insurance schemes reimburse psychotherapy only when it has been prescribed by a psychiatrist. Our psychiatrists can issue this prescription for psychotherapeutic treatment that is already underway at BMHC or is due to start here shortly with one of our psychologists or psychotherapists.

Insurers

Benefits, reimbursement limits and administrative requirements vary between policies. Below, you will find each insurer’s webpage where you can check your mental healthcare coverage. These links lead to the insurers’ own websites. BMHC does not have a formal network agreement with these insurers and bills patients directly. Policy terms vary and may change over time. Always confirm your coverage directly with your insurer.
